Located in the heart of Rosemont, Le Zotique is an eight-unit residential project situated within an urban fabric characterized by a mix of multifamily buildings and single-family homes. The project approaches densification with sensitivity to its surroundings, using scale, setbacks, and a carefully composed interplay of volumes to create a coherent transition between neighboring buildings. The composition combines a brick base, reflecting the architectural character of Montréal, with lighter upper volumes. Strategic setbacks reduce the perceived height from the street while creating outdoor spaces and maximizing natural light within the units. The project establishes a balance between urban densification, integration within the existing fabric, and the quality of living spaces, while expressing a contextual architectural approach.
